Sylar marries Barbara? Hmmmm. Interesting. I guess she's just as career/politically motivated as her sister Tracie. She did come off as pretty confident and femme fatale when she confronted the former security guy in the end. But, still. Seeing as how Sylar has all of Nathan's memories and persona, you'd think he'd be beware of her form after all the conflicts following his trysts with both Niki and Tracie.

Does anybody think the two are wed in the future? Or was the real first lady Tracie and the future we have seen altered by her death?
  • I believe you are way over thinking things. I know it is a stretch but if the writers follow how they have been treating the future clips so far (writes on this show be consistent, ha!) then those futures have been negated. Ignore them.
    • I would disagree with that. I think they actually set this up just right. Not to mention, Peter now also has his powers back.
      • True. Though the writer's inconsistency (e.g.: Sylar killing Candice/Michelle in order to get her power of illusion, as well as using it in the future, but apparently not having it now) annoy me a bit. But I think the Barbara/Sylar thing makes perfect since here.

Does Peter have all his powers back? I only remember him using the shapeshifting ability....
  • I am not sure if he has all "his" powers back, but he should have all of Sylar's powers. Prior to him entering the office with Nathan they had spoken about how all Peter has to do to get all of Syar's powers was to touch him, then when Claire gets back in she looks to Peter and asks if he got to touch and has all of Sylar's powers, to which he says yes. What I didn't understand was if that was the case, why did he have blood on the side of his head since he should have had the healing power, but it could have just been drips before the cut healed. I know Peter will get the powers of anyone he touches, but I can't remember what all the powers Sylar had were and if that just brings us right back to Peter going nuts craving other people's powers and doing the cutting brain thing that Sylar always does.
    • Since everybody on Heroes this season (with the exception of Sylar) has only one power, I never really considered what would happen if Peter touched someone who had more than one power (Sylar). Wasn't sure if he'd get all of his powers of just the one he was using at the time (assuming he wasn't using more than one simultaneously).

I remember there were times when Claire would be cut and the blood would flow back into her wound when she healed. But, I guess if Peter got injured before he got the power to regenerate the residue might still be on his skin. I think he still had blood on him after he regenerated in "Homecoming". I wish they had shown him use more than one power so we could be sure.

As for him having Sylar's craving: Who knows where there gonna go with that. Logically, it was gonna happen anyway because we all knew Peter would, eventually, get all his powers back. But, the writers might just forget about it like they've done other factors on this show. I guess we'll see.
  • The other part I don't get is how Peter's touching power and absorption was selective. I originally thought that by touching people he just automatically absorbed their power, but I guess it must be only if he chooses to, since after touching Sylar he touched Claire which would have wiped out Sylar's group of powers and given him Claire's.

So my assumption now is that Peter has all of Sylar's powers and will be able to use them like his own, but I am not sure if those will all be in addition to the touching/absorption power he had before or instead of.
    • I think I need to re-watch the climax. I don't remember his touching Claire after the showdown with Sylar. At least not with the lightning effect (showing his use of power). If he touched Claire and there was no visible sign (the little lightning) then I guess he can do it selectively. He's absorbed singular powers and retained his touch-empathy thing afterwards, so I don't think having Sylar's powers would erase that.

And since Claire and Sylar have the same power of regeneration, it's kinda doubtful touching Claire (if Peter does absorb powers automatically) would have any effect on him since regeneration is a power he would already possess prior to touching her to begin with.
      • Peter has touched numerous people throughout the season without gaining their powers, especially when he could fly (both times.) However, when he was shot off the roof, he had another ability (I forget what) yet could still fly. Gaffe?
